Salesforce Now Live On AWS Canada Region

There’s a reason why Salesforce and AWS are close together. It’s Microsoft. Both companies have expanded their strategic alliance, in Canada now, with this latest development.

Canadian Salesforce.com customers now have the benefit and peace of mind of having their data reside in a local datacentre in the country, as the enterprise software vendor just announced that its Salesforce Intelligent Success Platform has gone live on the AWS Canada (Central) region.

And this means that these customers can now access services like the Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, App Cloud, Community Cloud and Analytics Cloud using this region.

Parker Harris, Co-Founder and CTO, Salesforce had this to say on the occasion:

“As the global leader in CRM, Salesforce is committed to delivering the most trusted, reliable and resilient infrastructure available to our customers. Our alliance with AWS, an industry-leading global public cloud infrastructure, allows us to expand our infrastructure presence more quickly and efficiently so we can support our fast-growing customer base in Canada and around the world.”

Eric Gales, Director, AWS Canada was equally ecstatic:

“We are excited to welcome Salesforce and their customers to the AWS Canada (Central) Region. The investment in cloud technology by companies like Salesforce is driving adoption across the country and we are proud to work with them to facilitate innovative and agile services to its growing customer base.”

The AWS Canada (Central) region opened for business last December, and Amazon Web Services also recently launched a Direct Connect location in Toronto to support this region.

But the good news does not end here, as in addition to Canada, Salesforce customers in Australia can also expect AWS support very soon. The AWS Asia Pacific (Sydney) region is planned to go online in this second half of 2017.
