Interra Partners With AWS Elemental On Cloud Video

Video Streaming

Cloud video is scaling new heights, pun always intended. Interra has teamed up with AWS Elemental in order to pave the way for high-quality cloud video for everyone.

This integration of Interra QC and monitoring systems with AWS media services aims to deliver a scalable and cost-effective approach to providing pay TV operators, broadcasters, and OTT providers with a solution for delivering quality video.

AWS Media Services include AWS Elemental MediaConvert, AWS Elemental MediaLive, and AWS Elemental MediaPackage.

The cloud giant unveiled this towards the end of last year. And since then, a number of organizations and media providers have signed up for use of this new cloud offering from Amazon.

Before we get to the details, here’s Anupama Anantharaman, vice president of product marketing and business development, Interra Systems:

“As broadcast and streaming technologies rapidly evolve, there is increased complexity and chance for error. Video providers need a solid strategy for checking content quality and monitoring content at every point in the workflow.

Interoperability with Interra Systems’ end-to-end solutions and AWS Media Services allows video providers to monitor their valuable content with comprehensive quality measurements across any network in a secure, scalable, and cost-effective manner.”

According to the two companies, combining AWS Elemental with the Interra Baton QC and Orion-OTT monitoring solutions enables end-to-end video quality assurance by providing comprehensive QoS and QoE measurements.

This, it is said, will enable video providers to reliably deliver premium live and on-demand content to consumers by leveraging cloud technology with the utmost efficiency, speed, and cost savings.

Sounds good.
