AT&T has official confirmed that it plans to continue its collaboration with AWS, and both companies will expand their partnership with focus on cloud, security, and Internet of Things.

The telecommunication titan already has an agreement in place with Amazon Web Services, where AWS customers that are using AT&T networking now have access to highly secure and flexible connectivity options to serve their cloud, cybersecurity and mobility needs.

The two companies have worked on these solutions in order to help customers mobilize their workforce to support the digital age.

In the words of Roman Pacewicz, chief product officer, AT&T Business:

“Many of our customers are on their journey to the cloud with AWS. We can offer customers a highly secure, cloud optimized networking environment. No matter where they are in that transition or how they want to get there, AT&T has it covered.”

While David Wright, general manager, Worldwide Strategic Technology Partners, Amazon Web Services:

“Business customers rely on AT&T for proven network connectivity, cybersecurity and IoT solutions. These new enhancements provide our customers with the performance, security and connection options they need to grow their businesses on AWS.”

The highlights of this collaboration include technologies like FlexWare, which allows businesses to be more agile with edge computing via direct and secure connections to the Amazon Web Services platform.

AWS customers also have access to Private Mobile Connect that makes secure connections on mobile devices a possibility.

AT&T Threat Manager focuses on cybersecurity in order to proactively identify data patterns and malicious activity that could affect the network and cloud environment. This impressive technology has the ability to process 5 billion security events in only 10 minutes.

And finally, there is IoT, with AT&T having introduced a dedicated IoT Starter Kit earlier this year, designed for the AWS platform, and allowing developers to get up and running with Internet of Things.

The two companies are also currently exploring options to bring AWS Greengrass to the FlexWare platform, while AT&T also offers Cloud Transformation Consulting services to help customers select cloud solutions for their business, and even facilitate moving their data.
