Job summary
AWS Managed Services (AMS) is looking for experienced and dedicated team members to develop and operate ServiceNow platform for AMS. The ideal candidate is innovative and has great problem-solving and analytical skills. You must be comfortable and confident working on core application administration, creating workflows, data management, scripting and process automation. You will need to work with non-technical and technical teams to translate business cases to scalable solutions for multiple teams. You will be working in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. You must be flexible and adapt well to a wide range of tasks and technologies.
Our projects revolve around the Customer Service Management (CSM) module of ServiceNow platform - workflows, process automations, and external data synchronization for work items such as Incidents and Change Requests with ServiceNow. You will working with a team of Application Engineers and Systems Engineers responsible for end to end design and development of these core services for key stakeholders in AMS organization.
Key job responsibilities
Focus on implementing, configuring, enhancing, maintaining, and integrating systems as well as building custom applications on CSM module of ServiceNow platform
Understand industry integration practices as well as the integration capabilities and design patterns in your application, analyze integration problems, and provide optimal solutions
Lead ServiceNow major release upgrade implementation
Recognize and drive adoption of best practice techniques for ServiceNow development, and communicate with business users, including functional analysis, data flow, and data analysis
Understand the business objectives relevant to your team and your stakeholders teams and understand how the applications or tools enable or hinder the end users ability to achieve business objectives
Continually align the work of your team and division with your stakeholders business objectives and seek to deliver measurable business value
Understand functional requirements and work to improve the end user experience for the application supported
Keep abreast of changes to the application domain you specialize in including changes to existing and introduction of new tools and functionality
Expected to take part in the team 24x7 on-call rotation to resolve operational issues with ServiceNow platform
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or equivalent work experience.
Certified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA) or other ServiceNow certification is required.
3+ years of direct experience with the ServiceNow platform as an administrator, developer and/or comparable role. 3+ years direct experience working with customers to understand requirements and implementing information technology solutions / initiatives.
Solid understanding and detailed experience with the ServiceNow core functionality and architecture
Deep technical knowledge of ServiceNow, including data model, integration technologies, common integration design patterns, system technical capabilities, available APIs, and other technical tools and building blocks including workflows, flow designer, business rules, event-based systems, and user interfaces
Experience with one of the modern programming languages such as Javascript/Node/Typescript, Java, C, C++, or C#
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years experience in multiple areas of technology, including application administration, configuration, and/or data services.
4+ years of experience building ServiceNow applications
3+ years of experience with Agile scrum/Kanban methodology.
Experience working with ServiceNow ITSM or CSM modules
Experience developing distributed systems using AWS
Experience driving a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
Experience implementing a CI/CD pipeline for ServiceNow with Application Repository and version control
Experience running and maintaining a 24x7 production environment
Experience with JavaScript, Perl or PHP is strongly preferred.
ITIL Foundation certified or related experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communications.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $115,700 - 160,000(hr./yr.); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
