The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure for our company's Windows servers and web servers running IIS, with a focus on transitioning to utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS). This includes maintaining the hardware, software, and network components that support our web applications and services, as well as leveraging the scalability and flexibility of AWS to meet the future needs of the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows server administration and IIS web server management, as well as some experience with networking, security, and cloud computing, specifically with AWS.
+ Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure for our company's Windows servers and web servers running IIS, utilizing AWS services as necessary.
+ Monitor and troubleshoot Windows server and IIS web server issues, including performance, security, and connectivity.
+ Configure and manage network components, including firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs, utilizing AWS services as necessary.
+ Implement and maintain security measures to protect the infrastructure and web applications from threats, utilizing AWS services as necessary.
+ Leverage AWS services such as Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Simple Storage Service (S3), and Elastic Block Store (EBS) to meet the scalability and availability needs of the business.
+ Collaborate with developers and other IT teams to ensure the infrastructure supports the needs of the business, utilizing AWS services as necessary.
+ Participate in the development and maintenance of documentation and procedures for the infrastructure, including any necessary AWS services.
+ Stay current with new technologies and best practices in Windows server administration, IIS web server management, and cloud computing, specifically with AWS.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of experience with Windows server administration and IIS web server management
COMPETENCIES - SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES: -
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
+ Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
+ Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud computing platforms
+ Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures
+ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Experience with automation and configuration management tools, such as PowerShell or Ansible is a plus.
+ AWS certifications is a plus.
